Excercise: Yoni Tuck

Try this exercise

Experience level: Beginner

1. Lay down on your back.

2. Insert your yoni egg. If you are feeling adventurous add an additional small egg (Yep you'll have 2 inside!) Our aim is to add a little extra weight. Remove the additional weight before standing.

3. Move into the bridge position, like the picture above.

4. Tuck* 5 times then gently return your back to the floor. That is one set.

5. Repeat the set 5-10 times.

*By tuck I mean pulse your hips by rotating them towards your upper body. It should be a small movement similar to a crunch. This movement should simultaneously contract your pelvic muscles.

Why Sex Hurts

Why Sex Hurts

Not enough lubrication

Increase it naturally by increasing foreplay, incorporating Yoni egg exercises using natural lubricants such as coconut oil –be careful coconut oil can break down condoms.

Genital Infections

Infections such as genital herpes and yeast infections can all cause painful intercourse. If you think you may have an infection, please visit your health practitioner for diagnosis and follow their advice or research alternative remedies.

IBS

Irritable bowel syndrome is unpleasant and symptoms can include vaginal pain and overall discomfort in the intestinal region. Diet and stress reduction can help to alleviate symptoms.

Endometriosis

Usually people realize they have endometriosis when they stop using birth control, since birth control is a treatment. If sex is painful visit with your physician to cross this off the list. Surgery is often the promoted treatment so be sure to try natural alternatives first such as a combination of dietary changes, nutrient support, emotional healing, and alternative therapies – such as acupuncture (using fine needles to pierce the skin at strategic points and relieve pain) and phytotherapy (the use of plants and plant extracts for healing).

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Inflamed organs including fallopian tubes, uterus and ovaries generally caused by an infection that spreads to these areas. It is one of the most preventable and treatable causes of infertility. If caught early PID is easy to treat. The PID vaccine is being suggested for all young men and women today. Please do you research, I did not get the vaccine, and I have seen research supporting my decision.

Stress

Stress produces a toxic chemical reaction in our body and in my belief is the foundation of the majority of our modern day diseases and health issues. If you can only do one thing in your life, learn to manage your stress. You many not be able to reduce your stressors but you can control how you react to them. As far as sex goes- carve out the time for it and make it special. Allow extra time for foreplay, even if it is solo, to reduce tension and anxiety. Meditate with you Yoni Egg and give yourself permission to relax.

 Too tight

This can be the case!

Foreplay, lubricants and using toys to warm up can help. Also, choosing positions that allow you to control the depth of penetration will make a difference for you too.

Vaginismus

Vaginismus is defined as painful spasmodic contraction of the vagina in response to physical contact or pressure (especially in sexual intercourse).  It is a protective reflex after a bad experience. Healing can occur after sexual trauma but you must have compassion for yourself and dedicate the time to healing. In my experience, Yoni Egg practice can assist those healing from sexual trauma. It may be necessary to reach out to an experienced therapist. I also provide one on one consultations specifically about how Yoni Eggs can assist you.

Sex should not be painful. If you are experiencing any pain there may be an underlying cause that can be treated. It could also be stress! This is an opportunity for discussion with your partner, healthcare professional or a friend and get on the road to painless sex!

Why Doctors Encourage Kegals

Your Doctor has told you to go home and do your kegal -now what? Kegal exercise can potentially strengthen our  pubococcygeus muscle , PC muscle for short, but it may take months of committed practice. The addition of resistance can expedite this process similar to when you add resistance training or weights to your workout regimen. Yoni Eggs, weighted natural stones, are a great way to add that resistance!

Doctors often prescribe Kegels for:

  • Stress incontinence. This means leaking urine when you laugh, cough, sneeze, jog, or lift something heavy.
  • Urge incontinence. This is a need to urinate that is so strong you can't reach the toilet in time.
  • Pelvic floor weakness due to childbirth. Childbirth can stretch and weaken pelvic floor muscles. And that can cause urine control problems. It can also allow one or more pelvic organs to sag. When the uterus sags, it's called uterine prolapse. Women can help prevent this problem by doing daily Kegels during and after pregnancy.

How to do Kegel exercises

  • Find the right muscles. To identify your pelvic floor muscles, stop urination in midstream. If you succeed, you've got the right muscles. Once you've identified your pelvic floor muscles you can do the exercises in any position, although you might find it easiest to do them lying down at first. (I suggest using your yoni egg lying down at first)
  • Perfect your technique. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles, hold the contraction for five seconds, and then relax for five seconds. Try it four or five times in a row. Work up to keeping the muscles contracted for 10 seconds at a time, relaxing for 10 seconds between contractions.
  • Maintain your focus. For best results, focus on tightening only your pelvic floor muscles. Be careful not to flex the muscles in your abdomen, thighs or buttocks. Avoid holding your breath. Instead, breathe freely during the exercises.
  • Repeat three times a day. Aim for at least three sets of 10 repetitions a day.

Ladies, don't make a habit of using Kegel exercises to start and stop your urine stream. Doing Kegel exercises while emptying your bladder can actually lead to incomplete emptying of the bladder — which increases the risk of a urinary tract infection.

Kegals & Yoni Eggs

Yoni Eggs add the resistance needed to take your kegals to the next level. Progressive Yoni Egg work will allow you to move to a smaller egg as your muscles gain strength. Even if your Doctor has not prescribed kegals for you everyone can benefit from Yoni Egg practice.

*Please do not replace your Doctors medical advice with my opinions*

If you are not sure where to start I recommend the Crown or Tiara collections. Both, come with personalized consultations that will answer any questions you may have.

Healing from sexual trauma

Healing from sexual trauma
✨Yoni eggs can help✨

We do not talk about sexual trauma enough! Soo many women are suffering and avoiding in silence. We are aware of the common examples of sexual abuse but how about the examples where the abuse is self-inflicted (No judgment or blame. I can't think of a term that describes this scenario without placing blame). We use people to fill a void in our lives or get drunk and look for love and attention in the wrong places.

Am I alone in thinking that the consequences of self-inflicted abuse can be just as detrimental and hurtful as other forms.

However, we can be empowered through all circumstances. The goddess journey is yours alone. As I strive to reach my higher self I realize that I am full of love and ripe with potential.

The power I feel manifests deep in my ✨Yoni ✨

My recommendations include The Goddess Box Massage Wands and gentle stones initially, such as rose quartz or yellow Jasper.

Adding weight to your vaginal exercise is a trusted age-old practice. Increased lubrication, decreased incontinence, speedy postpartum recovery, more intense orgasms and a deeper connection to your divine feminine energy- every women should experience the benefits!

❗️If you have an IUD the egg can displace it. Listen to your body this advice cannot replace medical advice. I can only speak from experience. Yoni egg practice can be safe for pregnant women but please do your own research....excellent for postpartum women though!❗️

Beginner
1.Set the mood: candles, music, silence, incense- whatever will put you in a relaxed state
2. You will want to remain seated or laying on your back for this 10-15 minute practice. If you are not ready to insert the egg the first time that is perfectly alright
3. Insert into your yoni by gently nudging it inside you may find that your yoni muscles will suck it in. The widest end will enter you first. If your egg is drilled the string will hang and remain outside the yoni
4. Focus on the sensations and relax your pelvic floor muscles (kegals)
5. ✨Just Be✨Breathe. Allow yourself this moment to yourself. Meditate. Set great intentions
6. When you are ready remove the egg by gently pulling on the string or using your muscles to squeeze the egg down and out

Intermediate
What if I cannot feel the egg inside me!? This is perfectly normal. Keep practicing to strengthen those muscles and to heighten your sensitivity and awareness. You can also choose a larger egg. ✨Once you are comfortable inserting and removing the egg.✨

1. You can lengthen your practice times- you can even sleep with it overnight (note any dreams you may have)
2. Walk around with it, wash the dishes, do your laundry. If you have trouble "holding" it inside return to a seated position until your muscles gain strength
3. Continue with more advance kegal work. Squeezing for longer periods of time

Advanced
Perhaps you have acquired additional eggs or have a favorite!
✨Have fun with your egg! Go grocery shopping with it inside or out to dinner with your mate. Just knowing it is there will heighten your awareness and femininity. Meditate, practice yoga or belly dance with your egg! If you are ready to invite others into your practice: have sex or dance sensually with it inside. Totally up to you!! Some women even add weights to their drilled eggs!

Ultimately, there is no one way or 'right' way to use a Yoni Egg. Use the above as a guide!

Trust your instincts

There is no right way to use a Yoni Egg! Many women choose to meditate or sleep with their Yoni Egg before inserting. You set the pace of this practice, especially if you are using Yoni Eggs to heal from trauma.

The widest end of the Yoni Egg should be inserted first. Sensations will vary based on the size of the egg. If you feel as though the egg is ‘stuck’, lower into a squat, relax fully and bear down gently. A natural lubricant can also be used for easy insertion and removal.

The information presented by The Goddess Box does not constitute as medical advice.
